I need an attitude adjustment

Are you unmotivated? Feeling stressed and overwhelmed? Let me help.

Your environment reflects your soul. Be aware of what your living spaces tell you and how they affect your mood.

I feel overwhelmed and rushed when I start piling my stuff around the house. That feeling of I’ll take care of this later. It’s a clear sign that I need to slow down.

Also, if I stop doing my morning and evening routine because I feel too tired to care, I know my self-care is being neglected.

A sign of decision fatigue might be having a pile of clean clothes on my bed. It tells me I have too many choices and can’t decide.

If you’re feeling a little blah about the vibe in your home and want to get a jump start on 2025, try this.

  1. Walk through your living space and describe how each room makes you feel.
  2. Pick a space that speaks to you the loudest. The loudest rooms make you feel anxious and stressed. Create a list of the emotions you would like to feel when living in this space, e.g., restful, joyful, safe, etc.
  3. Clear the clutter. Remove trash, broken items, and all the items that no longer bring you peace of mind or have undesirable memories. This includes furniture, pictures, trinkets, books, outdated magazines, unfinished projects, etc.
  4. Put everything in its place. i.e., laundry in the hamper, kitchen dishes, bathroom toiletries, bills/paperwork off the floor.
  5. Move all furniture away from the walls and start to clean. It’s essential to clean and remove all the dust from every corner of the room, as dust and dirt carry energies of the past.
  6. Balance the elements of fire, water, earth, wood, and metal. If the elements do not work together, a room will always energetically feel out of balance, including scale and texture. You may need a friend to help you.
  7. Try to move or relocate at least 27 items to stimulate the room’s energy.
  8. Stand at the room’s entrance and follow the furniture’s flow and visual cues. You have a perfect balance if the room’s energy is quiet, meandering, and smooth.

Repeat these steps with each room in your home. You will feel a sense of peace and accomplishment while changing your space’s vibe and awakening your soul to something fresh and new.

Try it this weekend, and let me know how it goes for you.
