My Path to Skinny

Staying my ideal size has been a  life long process and is one of my biggest challenges. Imagine going somewhere, putting on your favorite jeans and it won’t zip up. Total nightmare!

When I say “skinny,” I’m talking about what I consider skinny, not some medical chart that says what I should weigh. In the past seven years, I discovered how to stay my ideal size. I never lost weight, but I just got thinner. You know the idea that muscle takes up less space and weighs more than fat.

I wanted to share this you because everyone has their own “skinny” method and I thought it might help some of you struggling with weight.

My path to skinny…

1. My marriage ended. When the stress stopped, I felt happy and free. The fat just seemed to melt away.

2. I found new friends. The times I shared with my new friends consisted of an activity, rather than a meal.

3. I stopped focusing on food and lost the guilt. When I stopped reading labels and listening to those around me count calories, my body started to crave naturally healthier foods. I just ate what I wanted and my body seemed to regulate itself. The “guilt” made me crave things that were not good for me, but as soon as I dropped it, my natural sensors took over.

4. I started to meditate. Meditation helps keep my sanity and stress level down. It quiets my mind and allows my brain to rest.

5. I found a fitness routine I love. I picked up my tennis racket after 20 years and rediscovered a sport I truly love!

6. I asked for help. I met someone who gave me wheat grass supplements for energy and weight loss. The products were in my kitchen cabinet for two years before I called to ask for help. I’ve been taking wheat grass ever since.

7. I started to limit the marketing messages, devastating news, and shopping malls from my consciousness. I began to focus on a lifestyle and business around divine love,  compassion, and faith. I discovered that whatever size I am…It’s OK to be me.

I would love to hear your path to skinny.
