If you have a friend(s) that have to constantly “one up” you with a better boyfriend/husband, a better house, a better career, better kids, a better everything….then consider this, it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. Spiritually speaking we reflect back everything that we think about. Your friends are actually competing with themselves. Oftentimes, it’s where they feel lack in their own lives that they forever try to convince us that nothing is lacking. A quick remedy to this is stop engaging in conversations that create competition, instead celebrate their “better” achievement. These friends are almost always looking for your approval of sorts.
